SHEET METAL WORK

Overview

Sheet metal work is carried out on site, working to customers drawings and specifications we are equipped to complete a range of products, such as lockers and enclosures, pressed sections, repair panels, flashings, and machine guarding. We operate a 3m 100t CNC press brake, 3m guillotine, corner notcher, bending rolls and swaging machine to enable us to deliver a range of sheet metal components.

Project Example

We have recently completed insulated weatherproofed enclosures for a valued construction customer, to fit heat meters in a renewable district heating system. The bespoke boxes were designed with the customer to provide the correct size and fixings for the equipment, entry and exits for the services, and importantly corrosion resisting coatings for a long service life. These provided the solution where there was no off the peg product on offer.

CASE STUDY - EDWARDS CONTRACTORS

THE CLIENT

Edwards Contractors provide heating, plumbing and electrical services to domestic and commercial clients.

THE CHALLENGE

To complete a district heating system in a series of domestic units, it was necessary to install heat metering equipment, to monitor the energy usage of the individual units. It was decided the equipment would be best fixed outside to allow easy access to the meter and prevent loss of internal space.

THE SOLUTION

Following a meeting with the contractor, we were able to produce the meter enclosures, fully water and frost proofed, to allow easy fitting and mounting of the equipment inside, and give a long service life.
