OVERHAUL & REPAIR

Overview

We are able to complete a range of overhaul tasks, utilising our equipment and practical ‘time served’ knowledge.

Machinery repair and overhaul work is completed at our works, we can complete tasks such as line boring, and manufacture replacement bushes and pins to suit, to bring the assembly back to as new fit. We have most often carried out this type of work to agricultural and construction equipment.

With our machine shop capabilities we often find customers solutions to repair of one off, difficult to source, or obsolete machinery, and take pride in a can do approach to our work.

Project Example

We have carried out transfer case, axle overhaul and final drive rebuilds for a regular customer, by the book to ensure O.E.M. standards are met. This work involves the complete strip and re-assembly of the components, bearing and seal replacement, pressing of assemblies together along with heated fitting of close tolerance parts as necessary. Shimming and backlash measurements are all set to prescribed standards.

CASE STUDY - A M CHARLTON BUILDING

THE CLIENT

A M Charlton Building carry out construction projects for private and business customers, providing quality, turnkey solutions.

THE CHALLENGE

To complete the conversion and renovation work to a derelict church in Chester town centre, forming a new bar and restaurant venue. To the rear of the building a fire escape had to be constructed, joining ground and first floor of the church, to a new access in a nearby office block.

THE SOLUTION

Following on site meetings, we designed and manufactured the fire escape, delivered to site and completed the fitting work. One of the main considerations was access, the rear of the building being totally enclosed, all parts were designed as two man lift, to allow carrying through the church.
